Game Projects
This is level 4 out of 5 levels my team and I made in our game: SoulJourner. I designed and built this level myself. Its goal is to greatly challenge the player by requiring them to put all they've learned to the test, while adding verticality elements and greater amounts of variety in obstacles than previously encountered.
A Unity level I made to test the new 2D tools. It features basic movement and jump controls, custom platform collision, and scrolling cloud background.
A short yet detailed level I worked on in UDK with a team of 4 (myself included). It focuses on nighttime infiltration, combat, and multiple path choices.
I made this game in 2 days, and it is intended to be a strange take on skeet shooting. The targets have weird movements and can be hit multiple times, but they stop their normal movement and begin to fall as soon as they're hit. This allows for some interesting strategies depending on when you get the first hit.
A level I worked on with a team of 4 (mostly different members than those from Hypothermia). Our goal was to prototype concepts involving platforming, verticality, puzzles, and urgency in the form of lava that continuously chases you.
Perlenspiel is a very simple grid-based game engine that can be used to make simple games and to test mechanics. It uses a strict form of JavaScript and its own specific events in order to allow one to manipulate the "beads." This word search is one example of what I've made with Perlenspiel.
